April Vacation Fun 2011

Sunshine and I had lots of time to spend together, just the two of us, over my vacation week!  We had a GREAT time together and I am sad I have to return to work on Monday.  Here are some highlights from our week! (Click on the images to see them larger!)

Saturday

We visited the "Magic Easter Bunny"  (that's what Sunshine called him) the day before Easter!

On Tuesday we visited with my aunt and then had my parents over for a nice dinner.

Wednesday

We played at one of the local parks after our lunch and Sunshine got her first ice cream from an ice cream truck!! YUM!

Then we spent a lot of time in our backyard! Sunshine thought she was going to dig her way to China!

Thursday

We then played at another park with one of our bestest buddies and went to lunch with them! And then that night we went to Sunshine's other bestest buddies house for play time and dinner!

On Friday we went to Six Flags! We have season passes, thanks to daddy, and we had such a GREAT time! It was so much fun to spend a day there, just us!  She rode the kiddie roller coaster at least 8 times! Such fun!

She rode the Raging Rapids ride for the first time and got SOAKED, but she loved every minute of it!

All in all it was a great week and I am so sad to see it end!  She is just an amazing little girl and I am thankful I was able to spend so much time with her this week!

Easter Sunday 2011

Easter Sunday was busy, yet joyful day for us all!  Sunshine got to take part in THREE egg hunts!! WOW!

Creating Easter Cards

Sunshine had 4 Easter Cards to create.  We used stamps and two different kinds of stickers! We did it over two nights as she got tired of doing them the first night! LOL!!  She even signed them herself! YAY!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Sunshine had a blast coloring eggs this year!!!  It was a bit of a challenge for her to use the scooper-thingie to get the eggs out of the dye, but with a little bit of help she was successful!!

Note to myself: Next year make sure you buy WHITE eggs, not brown.  LOL!

Name Writing

Sunshine has been very interested in letters and writing as of late.  Here she is writing her name! So proud of her!!!!!  First I wrote it with pencil and she traced over it in maker; then I wrote it out using dotted letters and she traced over those easily too!  

Life Skills: Spreading Peanut Butter

Sunshine has been very into eating toast with peanut butter lately:  breakfast, lunch, and dinner!  She has also wanted to learn how to spread the peanut butter herself.
She is trying really hard to learn how!

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Grandma and Grandpa took Sunshine to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny this morning!  She loved it! It was a pancake breakfast and each kiddo got to visit with the big man himself and got a bucket filled with Easter goodies!  Grandma took pictures and we can't wait to see them!

Here is a conversation daddy and I had with Sunshine about the bunny:

Sunshine: "I sat on his (Easter Bunny) lap.  There is a man in there!!!"

Me: (laughing) "How do you know there is a man in there?"

Sunshine: "He had two carrots!!!"

Me: "He did?  But how did you know there was a man in there?"

Sunshine: "I saw his hair!!!"  (giggle, giggle!!!)

Me: "Oh that makes sense!!! You are so smart!"

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking Sunshine this morning!! I am sure it is something she will be talking about for a long time!!!!
