We went to Strawberry Banke on October 11. It was fun, even though K really didn't know what it was all about. She enjoyed wandering around the grounds and waving at most anyone who passed by.

It was a fun day over all!

One Apple Up on Top

Orginally blogged on 9.13.08

Today we went apple picking at Mac's Apples. K loved it! We put her in her back pack carrier and off went we into the orchard. Daddy and I picked apples and when our bag was nearly full, we took K out of the carrier and she picked her own apple! She is such a smart cookie as she immediately tried to eat it!

I am so thankful...

The following post is going to be tough to read for some, so if you are a very emotional/sensitive person you may want to skip this one.

I found out this evening that a friends 14 month old son drowned on Monday evening in a pond on their property. I am so very sad for poor R and his family. I am so stricken with guilt as I gaze over at my perfectly healthy, typically developing daughter. Hearing this shocking news really puts things into perspective for me with the challenges we face in our every day lives that those things are so petty compared to what R's family is going through as they grieve the loss of their son.

I am so thankful that my child is healthy and happy. Please god, keep R's family in your graces and help then through this time as you have chosen to call R back to you.

Everyone, in honor or R, please go that extra mile and show your love to those you care for most and remind them how thnakful you are to have them in your life and how much you cherish/love them.

Gonna Get You!

Orignally Blogged on 9.9.08

Hi everyone! I decided that it would be fun to start keeping a blog to keep you all updated on little Miss Sunshine!

Often Daddy will play a game with K and he will say to her "Gonna get you!!!" and then he will tickle her. She gets all excited, giggles, and tires to run and hide from Daddy. Yesterday, while they were playing this game, she was being all silly and then she started saying "Ge-chu, ge-chu!!" (That would be "Get you, get you!" for those who do not speak K-eese.) She is just so stinkin' cute - I can hardly stand it!!!

Argh... WordPress...

So WordPress does not play nicely with Photobucket, however Blogger does so I am picking up house and moving to my new address here. I will carry over my other posts from CrapPress shortly.
