Weekend Away: Day Three (6/27/11)

On our third day we decided to do some fishing and hiking before heading home.

We stopped a Otter Rocks on the Kancamagus Highway so Papa could do some fly fishing.  

Of course Sunshine had to get in on the act and try out fly fishing for herself! She is "hooked"!

Then we stopped at Sabbaday Falls to do a little hiking.  There were these beautiful butterflies all over the place!

Sunshine even got to hold a few of them.  She was so gentle in doing so.

Weekend Away: Day Two (6/26/11)

During the second day of our weekend away, we took Sunshine to Storyland (STBL #11).  We had a great time, even if she was a complete grouch the first half of the day (she was VERY tired).   This is only a snippet of the rides we rode while there, but they were the ones Sunshine enjoyed the most.  (Click on the image to see them larger.)

We went on the Polar Coaster about 6 or 7 times. This was BY FAR her favorite ride!

On our way home from Storylad, we found this great fishing pond that is FULL of trout and only for children 12 and under.  Sunshine does not have a pole YET, but when she does we will be taking a ride back up there to do some fishing and have a picnic.

We also stopped to admire this beautiful waterfall before getting back to the hotel.

Weekend Away: Day One (6/25/11)

Last weekend, my parents and I took Sunshine away for a long weekend.  We had a blast! Here are pictures from our first day away. (Click on the images to see them larger.)

We climbed a huge tower at the Indian Head Resort.  When we got to the top Sunshine did NOT want to have her picture taken.  If you look at the bottom right hand corner picture closely, you can see she is YELLING that she did NOT want me to take her picture.  Silly girl!

A couple of pictures from the top!  My dad is standing next to the red car in the bottom picture. He had knee surgery a few months ago so he did not climb up with us as stairs still make his knee a wee bit sore.

Finally at our hotel for the weekend.  Speak no evil, hear no evil, see no evil!! LOL!
